Julia Cagé will discuss her book The Price of Democracy: How Money Shapes Politics and What to Do About It. (Harvard University Press, 2020).

The book explores question, including why and how systems of political financing and representation in Europe and North America give outsized influence to the wealthy; how these undermine democracy; and what societies can do about it.
