Governance in the Euro-Latin America Space.
Roberto Dominguez is a professor of international relations at Suffolk University. His research focuses on the intersection of global political economy and comparative politics to identify mechanisms to address collective problems. His work has explored comparative regional security governance, security governance in Latin America, European Union-Latin American relations, perceptions of the EU in Latin America, and ideas of peace in the Global South.
During his time at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES), Dominguez will continue researching Governance in the Euro-Latin American Space. His project inquires how various actors in the interregional EU-Latin American relationship interact to develop policies and alliances that facilitate managing collective problems. The research also factors in the role of the United States and China in the Euro-Latin American Space.
Dominguez was a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute and holds a doctoral degree from the University of Miami. He has been executive secretary of the World International Studies Committee and has consulted on projects for the European Parliament, the European Commission, Transparency International, the U.S. Library of Congress, and the U.S. Fulbright Program.
