Politics in the Bedroom: The Role of Political Attitudes in Romantic Relationships in Germany.
Ansgar Hudde is assistant professor of sociology at University of Cologne. His research focuses on political attitudes and how they impact people’s private livesand social cohesion; family demography, gender, and the life course; and behavior and attitudes concerning mobility and sustainability.
During his time at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES), Hudde will research the intersection of sociology and political science to understand what role politics and political attitudes play in the formation and dynamics of romantic relationships in European multi-party settings.
Hudde received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Bamberg. He was a post-doctoral fellow at LMU Munich, served as interim professor at Goethe University Frankfurt and was a visiting scholar at Sciences Po Paris and at Nuffield College, University of Oxford.
