Andrew Martin studies the comparative politics and social consequences of economic policy. His co-edited European Social Models From Crisis to Crisis: Employment and Inequality in the Era of Monetary Integration was published in 2014. His next project is on the political causes and consequences of macroeconomic policy choices in the Great Depression and current great recession. Earlier publications include two books co-edited with George Ross, Euros and Europeans: Monetary Integration and the European Model of Society, and The Brave New World of European Labor: Trade Union Responses to Economic Crisis in Western Europe, as well as several articles on the EMU, macroeconomic policy and unemployment.
