How do young adult workers (ages 18–30) in and around Manchester, New Hampshire, and Manchester, United Kingdom seek recognition through politics? In their recent study, Michèle Lamont and Andrew Miles interviewed 45 randomly selected low-status, white-collar, and blue-collar workers in each location to understand how they view their political identities and participation. Join us to discuss the four paths to recognition through which these workers engage in politics.
