Join Anna Vichkitova to examine how Moldovans remember their Soviet past through oral history interviews. Her research reveals how personal accounts from interviewees demonstrate the way post-Soviet socio-economic conditions, migration, and education influence memory. Vichkitova argues that individual memories provide valuable insights not only into the Soviet past but also into the complex, contested, and political nature of memory itself in post-Soviet Moldova.
