Since the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea and the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, the EU has responded with significant developments to its defense capacities, particularly in the area of defense markets and defense industry regulation. However, it is unclear whether these developments will be sufficient for meeting Ukraine’s security needs. Join us for a discussion on the political development of EU authority in defense markets and how EU initiatives align with Ukraine’s immediate security challenges as well as its long-term defense requirements.
