The V-Dem Project is one of the world’s largest social science data collection projects on democracy. This conversation with two of its lead investigators will explore some of the project’s most innovative and fascinating findings on regimes and regime changes, captured in the recently published volume Why Democracies Develop and Decline (Cambridge University Press, 2022).
