Denis Segrestin is a professor at Sciences-Po, Paris, and research fellow at the Center for Sociology of Organizations. He is co-director of the "Gouvernances Series" at the Sciences- Po Press, and member of the Editorial Board for the Revue française de sociologie. He published Sociology of firms in 1996. His recent works look at firms and management in the context of the continuing evolution of capitalism. His current project focuses on the future of the firm as an institution in the global economy. With various in-depth empirical studies on this topic, his aim is to draw a theoretical synthesis about the present "political resilience" of the firm. He will be in residence at CES from February through June 2010 as a Sciences-Po Fellow.
