Malgorzata Runiewicz-Wardyn is assistant professor at the TIGER Centre, Kozminski University in Warsaw. She received her Ph.D. and MA in international economics from Warsaw School of Economics (2004). Her doctoral thesis investigated the impact of FDI on the competitiveness of Baltic States. Currently she is working on a book about regional policy and factors of competitiveness of the EU and US regions. She is a coordinator of several European Commission research projects on the information society in EU. At CES she will extend her research to the comparative analysis of the role of ICT clusters in the growth of EU and US regions. Runiewicz-Wardyn will be in residence at CES during summer 2009.
