Miguel Lopez-Morell

Lopez-Morell is associate professor at University of Murcia in Spain. His research interests focus on business and economic history (foreign investments, banking, international raw materials markets, and family business). He has published La Casa Rothschild en España, 1812-1941 (2005, forthcoming English edition), and he is editor of Minería y desarrollo Económico en España (2007), with Perceval and Sanchez. Lopez-Morell is currently leading a research project on business and political elites in Spain. At CES, he will work on a project entitled "The role of bankers, enterprises, and governments in international raw material cartels and monopolies." Lopez-Morell will be in residence at CES from January through June 2012.
