Mareike Kleine is assistant professor in EU Politics at the London School of Economics and a John F. Kennedy Memorial Fellow at CES during the 2011-2012 academic year. She is currently working on a book manuscript on informal governance in the European Union. Her research interests include international organization, informal and formal governance, the interplay of domestic politics and international institutions, normative questions of global governance, and qualitative methods. She has published various scholarly and policy articles on these topics. Previously, Kleine was a visiting fellow at Princeton University's European Union Program and a doctoral research associate at the Free University in Berlin. She completed her Ph.D. in 2009.
