The Deutsche Bundesbank has been collecting art since it was established in 1957, and the art on loan for this exhibit is among its earliest acquisitions. The "Parallel Beginnings" exhibit also features CES’s collection of Schultze and Kerkovius, which were bequeathed by CES co-founder Guido Goldman, whose passion for color was central to his art collection. The range of early and later works by Bernard Schultze will be the largest collection on display in the United States.
