Transformation of Work in Contemporary Capitalism Study Group

The purpose of this interdisciplinary Study Group is to engage historians, sociologists, political scientists and legal experts in a dialogue over work-related ethical issues. It aims to span historical themes as well as the emerging ethical challenges of a transformed capitalism. The Study Group features discussions of secondary literature and presentations, which thrive to identify and name those new ethical challenges by observing them from a historical, juridical and sociological perspective. The aim is to focus on European controversies, in particular on the justification of discriminative treatments in the past as well as in contemporary Europe.
