Tamás Meszerics

Meszerics is assistant professor at the political science department of the Central European University in Budapest. He has published on the history of World War II, intelligence history, and on democratic theory in the Journal of Contemporary History, Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, Rivista Storica Italiana, East European Quarterly, and with other journals. He is currently finalizing a book project on the activities of British and American intelligence and special operations organizations in Hungary during World War II. The main focus of his research is on the interface between normative conceptions and contextual understanding of risky choices and moral dilemmas. Meszerics applies this cross-disciplinary approach to the questions of resistance and collaboration in occupied Europe during World War II, which forms the core of his planned new monograph.
