Biography

Carolina Rodríguez-López

Rodríguez-López is assistant professor of history at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. She holds a Ph.D. from Complutense University of Madrid and has been a researcher at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid and the Universite de la Sorbonne I and EHESS in Paris. Her work deals with the history of Spanish and European Universities during the 20th century. She is author of La Universidad de Madrid en el primer franquismo, based on her dissertation and La Universidad Espanola, 1889-1939. Her current project is entitled "Academic Exiles: German and Spanish Professors in the United States Universities, 1933-1950." Rodríguez-López will be in residence at the Center in Spring 2009.
