About
At the apex of the financial crisis that shook the Republic of Cyprus in March 2013, the harsh and unconventional approach adopted by the Eurogroup negotiators in the crisis resulted in considerable anti-EU feeling in Cyprus. Yet analysis shows that the crisis was due to different factors and not to the Eurogroup decisions, and that both economically and geopolitically the issue of EU integration is crucial for economic and political stability in Cyprus.
