About

This is the first of a two-panel series on the constitutional crisis in Spain. The country's continuing sovereign debt crisis has already placed Spain's future in the Eurozone in question. Now the crisis has had another unexpected effect by fueling growing demands for Catalan independence. This panel will examine the roots of this constitutional crisis and its potential impact.

The second panel in the series will take place on April 10th, entitled "Constitutional Crisis in Spain II: Domestic Dynamics and European Dimensions"

This series is given generous funding from the Real Colegio Complutense, the Elcano Royal Institute and Prince of Asturias Chair at Tufts University.
